England can complete a whitewash of the former number one team in Test cricket with a fourth straight win at the Oval.
England have been by far the better side so far in the series and it’s difficult to see where they are going to be beaten in the near future. England look so determined in all areas of their game which is vital if they want the period of current success to continue over the next couple of years. England have secured victories by huge margins so far in the Test series and are 5/4 with Skybet to do so again.
India will not want a complete thrashing and will be looking to salvage some pride out of the destruction. They have been out played in every game and it leaves the mind to wonder how this Indian side got to number one in the world. India need to really up the ante across a number of different areas of their game if they are going to win this last game of the series. They are 6/1 in a couple of places.
Alastair Cook is the man to back in terms of top England run scorer. Cook showed in the last Test match hat he can pile the pressure onto a side when he is in form and playing well. Cook is the sort of player who can be a little frustrating to watch but brilliant once he gets through the initial phase of difficult play. Cook looks a certain bet to become the highest Test match century scorer at some point in the near future. He is 7/2 across the betting market to score the most runs in this game.
Sachin Tendulkar is the sort of batsman who will score runs consistently and can also pull a hundred out of the bag in the middle of some poor form. Tendulkar has not been allowed to play expansively so far in the series but he can rise to the pressure in this last game. He is on the hunt for his 100th 100 in international cricket and for him to secure one against this current England team would be a complete compliment to the incredible standard of this player. He is 4/1 to top score for India.
Stuart Broad has been bowling very well throughout this current Test series. He seems to be fitter and stronger than ever before and he has made subtle changes to the way he’s been bowling which has allowed him to pick up more wickets. Broad is now one of the best line and length bowlers in the world. It’s up to him to maintain the standards he’s set because there will be players out for him. The best odds are 11/4 in a couple of places.
Praveen Kumar is on of the only Indian bowlers who will come out of the series with any credit. Kumar is not the fastest bowler in the world and never will be. However, his consistency is superb and this allows him to peg away at the English batsmen over a long period of time. It’s not difficult to understand how he gets so many wickets in first class cricket. Kumar is 11/4 to be top bowler for India.
