Man Utd v Wolves Betting Offers & Betting Tips – 22nd September 2018
Jose Mourinho appears to have come back from the brink, at least if you agreed with those who were predicting his time as Man Utd manager was coming to an end.
Consecutive defeats against Brighton and Tottenham damaged Mourinho’s credibility and led to some United fans to call for a change to be made. However, Mourinho did not shy away from the challenge, nor did he retreat into his shell. He came out fighting, publicly praising the Man Utd fans.
The United fans repaid the support shown by the manager by chanting his name during both recent away wins against Burnley and Watford. The change in fortunes should ensure a positive atmosphere at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon for the visit of Wolves but will the Wanderers be able to change that?

Here is our preview of the match including four Man Utd v Wolves betting tips.
Premier League Experience to Make the Difference
The owners at Wolves have huge ambitions. Their long term goal is to have the Wanderers challenging for major honours domestically and in Europe but the task at hand for now is very much to establish themselves as a Premier League club.
Wolves did incredibly well to win the Championship title last season and Nuno Espirito Santo has managed to build on the positivity that title win brought with an impressive start to life in the Premier League.
The Wolves boss has said recently that he doesn’t view managing in the Premier League any differently to managing in the Championship and Wolves certainly haven’t appeared overawed by any of their opponents thus far.
Will that change at Old Trafford though?
Espirito Santo learned a lot about management early on from his time as a goalkeeper in Jose Mourinho’s Porto squad. One thing Mourinho would surely teach him now is the importance of experience in the Premier League.
If Wolves are to go on to achieve big things in the coming years they’ll need to learn some tough lessons along the way. That’s part and parcel of maturing into a top class side but we think they’ll learn a particularly tough lesson at Old Trafford.
Don’t be surprised if Mourinho is smiling again on Saturday. Man Utd should continue their improvement with a win at odds of 6/10 with William Hill.
Fast Start May Allow United to Coast Home
There is absolutely no chance that Mourinho will let Man Utd’s recent wins to go to his players’ heads. He’ll be demanding absolute focus from the United players, especially given the effects of travelling to and from Switzerland for Wednesday’s Champions League match against Young Boys.
Mourinho will be using the wins against Burnley and Watford as inspiration though. He may also use the 3-0 defeat against Tottenham for the same reasons.
In all three of those matches, United started strongly. The difference between the wins and losses was that they did not capitalise on their early pressure against Tottenham.
We’re expecting another fast start from Man Utd before they do all they can to kill the game off. Therefore, a bet on the Man Utd/Man Utd selection in Coral’s half time/full time market looks good at 39/20.
Another option is betting on the first half having more goals than the second at 12/5 with Ladbrokes.
Can Pogba Lead by Example?
It’s become clear that Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho are not particularly close. The Man Utd manager understands the importance of Pogba to his team though which is why he’s made him captain.
Pogba flourished in a leadership role for France and can do likewise for United. He may even lead by example against Wolves by scoring the game’s first goal at 6/1 with Royal Panda.
