This stage of the season on the flat is the most exciting for many horse racing fans. The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes is perhaps the most exciting race of the lot. Barry Hearn, the chairman of the PDC, never rests in his goal of expanding darts throughout the world. The PDC have recently held tournaments in the Far East and the USA but this week it’s back to the PDC’s bread and butter with the World Matchplay held at the iconic Winter Gardens in Blackpool
It’s been a strange CONCACAF Gold Cup for both Mexico and Honduras. It was all change for Mexico before the tournament began with a vastly different squad to that which competed in the Confederations Cup. Then, manager, Juan Carlos Osorio was banned for six matches for his behaviour towards a fourth official when in Russia. As for Honduras, they were caught up in the Florent Malouda selection drama and were eventually awarded a 3-0 win of French Guiana despite drawing their match 0-0. At least both sides made it out of the group stage and they are set to meet for their quarter-final at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

But now they’ve both made it through the group stage they’ve got nothing to lose and are intent to see just how far they can go. It’s fair to say that both teams have been workmanlike so far. When they meet at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Thursday evening (local time) it will either be more of the same as one side grinds their way to the semi-finals or, more hopefully, they’ll finally spring to life and provide neutrals with a thrilling knockout game.
