Last weekend’s Premier League fixtures could not have gone any better for Chelsea.
After Manchester United’s long unbeaten run finally came to an end at the Emirates, Jose Mourinho rather sarcastically claimed that he was happy the Arsenal fans has something to be cheer.
Last weekend was a good one for Manchester City fans. Having been held to consecutive draws, Pep Guardiola’s side hit top form against Crystal Palace, thrashing them 5-0 in Saturday’s early game. City’s players and fans could then put their feet up and watch the other results come in. With both Liverpool and Manchester United dropping points, City’s chances of qualifying for the Premier League strengthened considerably but there is still work to do, starting with Saturday’s match against Leicester.
You won’t be surprised to hear that Jason Day is a big fan of the Players Championship. You may be a little surprised to hear that last year’s winner hopes the Players Championship will one day be formally recognised as golf’s fifth major. There are already five majors in women’s golf and the Players is so well regarded it’s possible it could be upgraded but for now it will have to remain as the unofficial fifth major.
The May meeting at Chester Racecourse is a real favourite among fans. There are some hugely entertaining races across the three days of action but the Chester Cup really stands out.
