Real Betis v Real Madrid Betting Preview

Saturday evening sees a massive game in La Liga take place as champions Real Madrid travel to Real Betis in what has the makings of being a cracker. Madrid started the season poorly, but have won their five in the league and know a win here would move them closer to leaders Barcelona as they are not in action until Sunday.

Betis were on a superb run and even sitting in the top four earlier in the month, but two straight defeats have seen them slip down the table and now this may be an encounter that they are dreading rather than relishing.

The bookmakers of course have the away side as the big favourites for this one and they are at 3/10 with Paddy Power. Jose Mourinho will send his team into this one to get three points and nothing less. All they can do right now is keep winning matches and hope that Barcelona and Atletico Madrid start to slip-up.

Mourinho knows his men have the quality to come out on top here and if they are anywhere near their best, then they will be a safe bet to take the spoils on Saturday evening.

Betis certainly have an incentive to take the points though as they want to move up the table again and show the start of the season was not a honeymoon period. This could be just the kind of match they need to kick-start the campaign again and reinstall the confidence in the camp. They do sit in sixth position still though, so should be happy with their opening twelve matches.

Bets on a home win may not be too popular, but they do offer some cracking value as they are at 11/1 with BetVictor.

With so much attacking talent on show, the bookies are sure to have plenty of betting on their first goal-scorer markets. There is no surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo is the big favourite to break the deadlock on Saturday evening as he is at 2/1 with Blue Square.

Madrid have gone a goal down a number of times this campaign though and Betis certainly have the players to cause them a few problems. Leading scorer Ruben Castro will be looking to build on his six goals in La Liga and you can back him at 10/1 with Stan James to have the first say in this one.

What we fancy for this one is Real Madrid to turn on the style and take a massive victory back to the Bernabeu back with them. A 4-1 win for Mourinho’s men is at 16/1 with 188bet.

It should be a superb 90 minutes of La Liga action.
