This years T20 Finals Day promises to be another quality day of cricket with many different betting markets to enjoy with 3 games taking place on the day. Taking place on Saturday 27th August at Edgbaston it is a day that any cricket and betting fan will both not want to miss.
This years final 4 teams see Leicestershire, Lancashire, Somerset and Hampshire battle it out for the T20 crown with Leicestershire taking on Lancashire in the first semi final. Whilst Leicestershire have already beaten Lancashire in this seasons T20 competition the bookies seem to have agreed here and have Lancashire as slight favourites to win this match. The best odds you can get at the moment for a Lancashire victory is with Sky Bet who are 5/6 whilst the rest of the bookmakers seem to be happy with 4/5. If you fancy a Leicestershire victory you can get 11/10 with a handful of bookies including William Hill and Bet365.
The 2nd semi final is probably the most exciting fixture of the two and a repeat of last years T20 final between Somerset and Hampshire. Arguabably these two teams are the best about in T20 cricket and the bookies are finding it hard to find a favourite with the betting odds very close. Most of the bookies have both teams the same odds with the best betting odds on Somerset are 10/11 with the majority of the bookmakers. As we said the bookies odds are very tight here and most bookmakers have Hampshire the same price as Somerset at 10/11 although Boylesports and William Hill have both decided to be brave and offer the best odds of even money for Hampshire to win the match.
The overall T20 Final winner betting offers a bit more value from the bookmakers as you would expect seeing as the winners would have to win two matches. Again there is nothing to split the bookies odds between Somerset and Hampshire with the best odds for both teams to win outright are 2/1 from most of the bookmakers including Ladbrokes and Coral bookies. Lancashire come next in the betting with the best the best odds for them to win being 7/2 from both Bet365 and Stan James. The outsiders in the betting and the surprise package of the T20 season are Leicestershire. 888sport and Blue Square are amongst the bookies offering 9/2 which looks good value for a team that have won this event twice in the past.
At the moment the bookmakers have still to price up many of the lesser markets but there are still a few bets that stand out for us that offer good betting value. In the Leicestershire v Lancashire match Ladbrokes bookies have Abdul Razzaq at 7/1 to be Leicestershire’s top batsman in the match, a very good bet for the heavy hitter from Pakistan.
Another bet that looks very good betting value is from William Hill and is for any team to score more than 200 runs in any of the matches. They have the betting odds at 11/4 which is generous seeing as Leicestershire chased down over 200 against Kent in the quarter final at Grace Road.
